EXCELLENT

I don’t think I have come across games by Skunk Studios before, but am really glad I have.  Look out for them.  I have just bought this game, plus another called FLUX FAMILY SECRETS which I will review separately.

The Graphics are great – lovely and crisply clear, so they don’t impede your ability to search for items.  They are well imagined, colourful, authentic, and peopled with believeable characters.  You play as a Secret Agent following an Agent called Raven who has gone power-mad.  You need to gather and use clues, solve problems, use your ingenuity, and carry out tasks such as mending a boat and inflating a rubber dinghy in order to continue your pursuit.

The Hidden Object sites have lists of items to find – one of which will be added to your Inventory – but these are shown in perspective with the background and so can be a little small at times.  However there is a Zoom magnifier available on the bottom Task Bar – also Right Click activated – that allows you to see these clearly.  You just have to remember to use it!  Another lot of HO sites are of pictured pieces of items – all of which will go into your Inventory after uniting to create key objects that will help you towards your final solution.  There are also Objects of Interest to retrieve and return them for cash.

Tips:  Just a couple of tips to show you the way you need to think when approaching the game tasks – look for the dotted outlines of prospective item placements before moving onto another site.  Sometimes these are not shown at first and you need to revisit the site and re-scan it for possibilities.  For example the mirror shows where you need to cut slices out of it; you need to assemble the pipes on the patio beside the pool; and you need to open/access/use the Security Pad to take a photo of the rooftop area, and also to disable the security camera with the micro chip.  I can elaborate if you need me to, but this info might be enough so you don’t click around on the required area wondering why it won’t react.

This has great Graphics, clever Puzzles, and a cool Storyline.  I highly recommend it.

About judsartwork

I write reviews of Adventure and Hidden Object games that are Crime, Fantasy, SciFi, Renovation, Travel, Quest and/or Mystery by genre. I have a Masters in Writing (2006) and have been writing novels, both crime and fantasy for many years; plus Haiku, verse, and prose both fictional and literary. I am also an artist of modern, Acrylic, textural and hard edge work, underwater, fantasy, expressionist, and Cosmos paintings. I use mixed media (Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastels) in textural Monoprints, finding surprises to expose within each work. Having both an analytical and creative mind has meant that I have strong powers of observation, and the persistence required to follow computer problems through till I solve them. Of course I am not always successful, but am willing to ask for a little help in order to then unlock the main problem myself. My Troubleshooting Blog, 'Problems and Solutions', was the result of my tenacity.
