Help Monica uncover the secrets and tragedies of her childhood in Phenomenon: City of Cyan!  20 years ago a dangerous experiment destroyed most of Cyan City and turned many of the citizens into strange creatures. Explore the deserted city, overcome supernatural enemies, and find powerful allies on your quest to find out what happened to Monica’s parents in this fantastic Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game. (BigFish Game blurb)

Another great game – I’ve hit the jackpot today.  This Hidden Object/Adventure game has fantastic graphics!  There is the occasional use of atmospherics, but they are clear for the HO sites, which range from highly colourful to grey perimeters with coloured centres, making the HOs a little harder to find.  This is what we want – clever but fair HOs in visible HO sites.  There is also another unusual gameplay within the HO sites – there is a key object that when clicked opens into an alternative version of the site in which you then find shadow HOs, or outlined HOs, or other possible versions as yet unknown, in order to take a missing HO back to the original site.  Great fun.

I love the way the game play is logical – you might mill around for a brief while but then your logic kicks in and away you go.  It’s extremely satisfying.  And the storyline is cool.  Once more Nikola Tesla‘s experiments arise – and as usual, lends authenticity to the story.  Even my husband came and ‘helped me play’ over my shoulder – not that I needed it, but it is nice to share.

I highly recommend this game and bought it immediately.

About judsartwork

I write reviews of Adventure and Hidden Object games that are Crime, Fantasy, SciFi, Renovation, Travel, Quest and/or Mystery by genre. I have a Masters in Writing (2006) and have been writing novels, both crime and fantasy for many years; plus Haiku, verse, and prose both fictional and literary. I am also an artist of modern, Acrylic, textural and hard edge work, underwater, fantasy, expressionist, and Cosmos paintings. I use mixed media (Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastels) in textural Monoprints, finding surprises to expose within each work. Having both an analytical and creative mind has meant that I have strong powers of observation, and the persistence required to follow computer problems through till I solve them. Of course I am not always successful, but am willing to ask for a little help in order to then unlock the main problem myself. My Troubleshooting Blog, 'Problems and Solutions', was the result of my tenacity.
