Scrooges victim lies motionless with a knife in his back. There arent any witnesses… or are there? Travel back and  forward in time to get help from the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future in this Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure  game. Can you uncover the dark side of Charles Dickens famous Christmas Carol story? Help Marley get revenge on the old  miser and murderer, Scrooge in Twisted: A Haunted Carol! (BigFish Sales Blurb)

An interesting twist on the original, already spooky, A CHRISTMAS CAROL story, you play as Marley’s ghost to bring Scrooge to account for his crimes.  The game-play is a bit slow-going at first, as you have to feel your way through parts of it, despite the Tutorial which is not very specific.  The Options are Basic. The Graphics are clear but dark at times, though very well designed – an authentic setting for the period  of the narrative  – and could be a little clearer for the Hidden Object sites.

You can use items on each within the Inventory bar which is helpful.  You have to collect Keys, and find Timestones in each site, in different time-zones.  You use  the Timestone on the nearest clock as required, then complete the Puzzle to change time-zones.  Future, Present, and Past tabs are located in the top corner of the screen.  The game-play involves a lot of b & f (back and forth) which gets tiresome.

However I did enjoy this game enough to buy it.  I recommend it as in interesting Scrooge game.

About judsartwork

I write reviews of Adventure and Hidden Object games that are Crime, Fantasy, SciFi, Renovation, Travel, Quest and/or Mystery by genre. I have a Masters in Writing (2006) and have been writing novels, both crime and fantasy for many years; plus Haiku, verse, and prose both fictional and literary. I am also an artist of modern, Acrylic, textural and hard edge work, underwater, fantasy, expressionist, and Cosmos paintings. I use mixed media (Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastels) in textural Monoprints, finding surprises to expose within each work. Having both an analytical and creative mind has meant that I have strong powers of observation, and the persistence required to follow computer problems through till I solve them. Of course I am not always successful, but am willing to ask for a little help in order to then unlock the main problem myself. My Troubleshooting Blog, 'Problems and Solutions', was the result of my tenacity.
