Gardenscapes 2 takes the unique experience of the original Gardenscapes to a completely new level! The garden at the estate where Austin was born and grew up in is in a pitiful state. Rundown and neglected, it is waiting for you to come and restore it! Accompany Austin to the place of his childhood, meet his parents, and collect the old photos and other memorable things from his past. Run sales of the old stuff found around the house to implement the original decor ideas of your own! Help your good old friend bring the family garden to bloom again in this brand new hit from Playrix!  (BigFish Sales Blurb)

This sequel to GARDENSCAPES is excellent.  As well as the usual finding and selling of household items, you repair and tidy the rooms before the customers enter.  You collect Coins and ‘?’ Marks; you can use Cameras and Thermometers as special Hints; you use a magnifying Glass to help you find Items; you take photos of the renovations as you proceed; and you find, name, and play with the Dog as usual.

When the Renovations are complete, and before you leave, there are a few more things to do, and they cost big $$$$$.  I won’t tell you what they are because I don’t want to spoil it.

The Characters move more fluidly than in GARDENSCAPES and MANSION MAKEOVER, and like BARN YARN when you pass the Cursor over the Coins of the sold Items they move to your purse.  This action iis more user-friendly, saving heaps of pointing and clicking!  The Game screen is square, as in old screen size, but the Garden screen is Full-Screen.  Sounds odd I know but you will see what I mean.

This game has more of the Humour of its predecessors and makes you smile constantly.  I highly recommend it for Renovation fans.

About judsartwork

I write reviews of Adventure and Hidden Object games that are Crime, Fantasy, SciFi, Renovation, Travel, Quest and/or Mystery by genre. I have a Masters in Writing (2006) and have been writing novels, both crime and fantasy for many years; plus Haiku, verse, and prose both fictional and literary. I am also an artist of modern, Acrylic, textural and hard edge work, underwater, fantasy, expressionist, and Cosmos paintings. I use mixed media (Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastels) in textural Monoprints, finding surprises to expose within each work. Having both an analytical and creative mind has meant that I have strong powers of observation, and the persistence required to follow computer problems through till I solve them. Of course I am not always successful, but am willing to ask for a little help in order to then unlock the main problem myself. My Troubleshooting Blog, 'Problems and Solutions', was the result of my tenacity.
