During your career as an archaeologist, you firmly believed that the Tree of Life was simply a myth. However, once you uncover a magical artifact, you open brand new worlds of possibility. You’re whisked away to a lush world that is slowly being poisoned by a mysterious dark force. Your artifact is the key to restoring this beautiful world, but dark forces stand in your way. Protect the artifact and save this dying world in Amaranthine Voyage: The Tree of Life, a thrilling Hidden-Object Puzzle Adventure game. (BigFish Sales Blurb)

This game, which I played some time ago now, was really excellent – except for the fact that the Map wasn’t Interactive – but at least there was a Map.  I wrote – Excellent Game;  Good Cinematics; Good Story that keeps you moving; good Options; and great fantastic Graphics though blurry HOGs.  I noted that the Bonus Game was Excellent; Challenging; and very clever.  Although there is a notebook, keep your own notes to make Puzzles easier.

But the most memorable thing about games by EIPIX is that the Artwork of the Graphics provides a glorious visual experience – you can hardly wait to dive into them and stay there.  And they keep changing as the story twists and turns.  The narrative is embedded into the game – it drives the game-play, and its dialogues are important to your solving of the various Tasks.  You are given Task lists so that you can keep track, which is helpful due to the inablibity to jump back and forth via the map.

I bought this game immediately.  I highly recommend it.

About judsartwork

I write reviews of Adventure and Hidden Object games that are Crime, Fantasy, SciFi, Renovation, Travel, Quest and/or Mystery by genre. I have a Masters in Writing (2006) and have been writing novels, both crime and fantasy for many years; plus Haiku, verse, and prose both fictional and literary. I am also an artist of modern, Acrylic, textural and hard edge work, underwater, fantasy, expressionist, and Cosmos paintings. I use mixed media (Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastels) in textural Monoprints, finding surprises to expose within each work. Having both an analytical and creative mind has meant that I have strong powers of observation, and the persistence required to follow computer problems through till I solve them. Of course I am not always successful, but am willing to ask for a little help in order to then unlock the main problem myself. My Troubleshooting Blog, 'Problems and Solutions', was the result of my tenacity.
