Take on the task of exposing a secret brotherhood called The Seekers and save the performers of the theatre who became the brotherhood’s victims in The Agency of Anomalies: The Last Performance. As an agent of The Agency of Anomalies, help the performers restore their human form, return their paranormal powers and find out what happened to the theatres founder Patrizia Edelshtain. (BigFish Sales Blurb)

This game has a car crash beginning, mini Portals, Mirrors to repair, blurry HOGs with additional atmospheric interference, and no Map!  It is a little frustrating due to lack of Direction – Notebook holds very basic information and has no Task list – and from being unable to use Items before their time is right,  Some of the Puzzles are a pain and thankfully can be Skipped.  The Graphics and layout have been well planned but could be made more user friendly – the dulling of the colour to add gloom just makes the experience underwhelming.

The Story is weird, spooky, with the usual cast of weirdos and freaks that you need to rescue from the mad scientist/villain – getting a bit boring as a narrative these days.  I’m sure the writers can come up with something else so you don’t feel like it’s the “same ol’, same ol’ “.

It’s well designed so not a bad game.  Worth a look.

About judsartwork

I write reviews of Adventure and Hidden Object games that are Crime, Fantasy, SciFi, Renovation, Travel, Quest and/or Mystery by genre. I have a Masters in Writing (2006) and have been writing novels, both crime and fantasy for many years; plus Haiku, verse, and prose both fictional and literary. I am also an artist of modern, Acrylic, textural and hard edge work, underwater, fantasy, expressionist, and Cosmos paintings. I use mixed media (Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastels) in textural Monoprints, finding surprises to expose within each work. Having both an analytical and creative mind has meant that I have strong powers of observation, and the persistence required to follow computer problems through till I solve them. Of course I am not always successful, but am willing to ask for a little help in order to then unlock the main problem myself. My Troubleshooting Blog, 'Problems and Solutions', was the result of my tenacity.
