Like GARDENSCAPE, this Game is not just a Hidden Object Game but also a Renovation/Restoration Game.  This time you are renovating the exterior of a Bed and Breakfast Inn in a British coastal location.  There are many rooms that you need to find objects in and for – not necessarily for the room in which they are found.  You also get to replace items, which is always fun, and quite often tricky.

You must also find Magnifying Glasses and Coins in each room – these are not as visible as they are in GARDENSCAPE so it’s easy to forget to collect them.  You enter the rooms by clicking on their Room Key hanging on the Reception Keyboard.  They change from Silver to Gold to indicate a different kind of search, as you progress through the game.  The room keys each have individual motifs which match the motif plaques on the doors of the themed rooms.  The Themes are: Jolly Good Cup; Royal Majesty; Cupid’s Suite; Inspector’s Suite; Coming Up Roses; Ship Shape Suite; Fields of Green; The Den; Jungle Fever; The Gallery; Sweet Melody; Forbidden City; Persian Prince; Princess Pink; Bridal Suite; and Beach Combers Cottage.

The Hidden Objects are fairly well disguised, but the slightly fuzzy nature of the Graphics – unless you sit right back from the screen which is unnatural for gameplaying – makes them more difficult than they should be to locate.  So low FP.  If there is too long a delay in HO location then the item not found for longest will flash.  There are Party-Poppers you can click on that will show you the waiting items very briefly so you can do a quick find.  This tests your memory and mind/eye/hand coordination.  There are also magnets that you can click on that you can use to locate some of the items.

Once completed this Game allows you to continue to play – like GARDENSCAPE – finding coins, and HOs in each room as unlimited play.  However there is still the same set number of items to find, though they vary upon each revisit.

There is also a rather irritating woman running the Inn who insists on commenting on your progress between rooms.  You can tone her down by diminishing the Sound slide in Options.

This is an enjoyable Game, but not as much so as GARDENSCAPE.
