I thought that the sales pic for this game looked a bit wacky, promising comic book graphics and it delivered. They are colourful as you’d expect, and clever, and there is a zoom element to the moving from location to location. It causes a 3D effect similar to the early Disney movies of Snow White. I love the horse which is really well-drawn.
There are the usual Casual and Expert play modes, the usual sparkling Hidden Object sites – with the HOs being a little difficult to find, especially at first. Well actually they aren’t true HOs in that they are really Association Match sites, where some HO matches are very obvious while others are quite subtle, and humorous. After a while your eyes settle to the logic of the graphic display and you begin to locate things. The puzzles thus far have been quite clever, ingenious, and a little different from the norm. However this is where the FF points lie – some of the puzzles just don’t seem to want to work. Persevere and check all areas of the scene and make sure you fully use all your items – then you will get the right result.
I didn’t realise that it was only a Demo game – that I didn’t have the full hour to trial the game – or I would have taken my time and not used Hint on a couple of occasions in order to get as much play as possible. But don’t fret – I liked the game so much that I bought it immediately (admittedly with a game coupon, but that still counts as I could have used it on any other game) – I did an update on this blog after I had completed the full game, as there were a few things that needed comments.
Quirky, humorous, and fun, you need to use your ingenuity and logic, and to play in the right order (or things that should work don’t respond), in this game. I highly recommend it for a bit of fun.
