This game is the best of the series. I originally bought it for my iPad, and enjoyed it there. It made me take a look at the other in the Series. You enter each location through an enchanted painting as the title suggests in order to search for your lost younger brother. Each painting allows for a completely different graphic location – some in snow, some in jungle, even one in a pop-art type of fantasy locale, not quite making visual sense. Great!
It has the usual Casual and Advanced Playing Modes in Options. And the usual sparkling Hidden Object sites. But once again it has items to find at random, plus the Key Objects that open as a Circle of bubbles to be filled as you find the items that comprise the Key.
The Graphics are lovely and clear – best of the Series – except for a couple of sites where there is smoke to clear or an underwater sand storm to remove. The underwater scenes are particularly successful. I love the ‘big hand’ cursor to pick things up with, and the ‘weird face’ cursor for chatting to characters.
This is a definite buy, regardless of having it already on my iPad.
