I enjoyed this game, which had an interesting ‘search for sister’ story and colourful imaginative graphics, but I wish the latter were as clear as the opening movie promised. The Hidden Object sites were less clear with objects a little obscured or tiny or transparent. Not FP. Via Options, the game modes were Casual/Advanced/Hardcore – I chose Causal of course because I dislike Timed Games.
There was a notebook for information, plus you went back and forth through time via the pages/pics in the Diary. There were the usual sparkles to indicate active areas, and the Puzzles were cool as well. However I had to Skip through the slow puzzles, and use the Hint for the final HO/site in order to finish the Demo on time. Just made it.
I recommend this one at least for the trail. It’s on my ‘To Buy’ list.
I have now played this right through and enjoyed it immensely. It isn’t as good as the following two games of the series, but the fact that each game improves on the previous one is a good thing and shows forward thinking on the part of ELEPHANT GAMES. I wish there had been a Map for this game – it would help a lot, but without it the game is still engaging.
Once again, this game is loooooong! This is great as you get good value for money and for gameplay. This of course adds to the SF upon finally reaching the end.
As you can see I don’t have the Collector’s Edition for this one as it hadn’t come out at the time of purchase. I wish I had waited till it came out, and recommend that you do too. However the game is complete in its own right, but there is the feeling that you are missing what is to come.
